Parents Guidelines
Parents are the backbones of his or her child's success and happiness.
1. Parents must help to instill the work values and ethics into their child, for them to become a successful student athlete.
2. Parents must commit to transport you child to and from practices, competitions and time restraints are highly imports,.
3. Fees must be paid on time. If there is a problem please make arrangements Gold Rush Athletics Administration.
4. Parents if somethings happens with your child that we feel is essential to his or her progress you will be contacted immediately.
5. Parents if you have any concerns or questions please contact your child's coach. Your thoughts are important to us. We will try to solve whatever the problem is as soon as possible with a positive solution to all parties involved.
6. No parents should interrupt practice for any reason. Save all questions or concerns until after practice. We have a short time to get all workouts in so all time is valuable.
7. All meets are chosen by Gold Rush Athletics. These meets are chosen with the best levels of competition and experience for your child.
8. Parents under no circumstance should approach any meet official before, during or after competition to question, complain or comment about a time or measure or score. Contact a coach
9. Parents will try to the best of their ability to be a positive entity in their child's life.
10. Never compare your child to another child when it comes to an event or their progress. Each child is different, which mean they progress at different levels.
11. Parents make sure that your athlete participates in practices, It is important that your child attend practices an not just show up for a meet. They will not be prepared to compete if they have not practiced.
12. Confrontations with other parents, coaches, and athletes is not permitted. This will not be tolerated, if such an action occurs you and your child will be asked to leave.
Athletes Rules
1. Athletes must attend practices. In order to achieve success you must be at practice.
2. Respect your coaches, parents, and teammates at all time. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary measures.
3. The highest level of behavior is expected at all times. Your behavior is a reflection of yourself, your teammates, parents and Gold Rush Athletics.
4. Carry out all workouts to the fullest. Cutting yourself short will only hurt you during competition.
5. In order to achieve the highest regards for the spot your hard work and the way you conduct yourself will be the results you will obtain during meets and practices.
6. Accept all constructive criticism in a positive manner. We learn just as much from our mistakes as our accomplishments.
7. Safety rules must be followed before, during and after practice.
8. Do not compare your progress or performance with other athletes. Each athlete has a different level to progress.
9. Your emphasis should be on your individual success and improvement not on the place you come in. Winning is important but it is not everything.
10. Stay with your team until competition is complete. Do not leave until a coach has released you. If you have to go to the restroom get permission and go with another athlete to do not go alone. If you are leaving with someone other than the person who dropped you off the coach must be aware of this before you can be released.
11. Inform your coach if you are not attending any scheduled meets or practices. .
12 Always pick up behind yourself and keep the practice location and the meet location clean. It is the responsibility of all athletes to help clean and set up and breakdown at meets.
